Today in class we also learned about fractions but we also did some adding decimals. I really like adding decimals and I think that it is pretty easy so far. Since our problems in fractions are harder they are not as fun but I still enjoy it kinda. Today we also did some quizzz and Kahoot and they were on decimals and fractions. Overall today is still pretty nice and fun.

Starting from Monday 6-29-20 through 7-10-20 I am going to be telling you about my Math class with Cerritos college. Today was the first day of class!! Today was very fun and we learned about fractions. We played some quizzzz and some Kahoot (They are both games where you compete with your class). We also did some problems on scratch paper. I also met my teacher and my classmates and they are all pretty nice. I also enjoyed learning fractions because I already learned some fractions but today I learned how to add fractions with different denominators. So my first day of class was very fun.

Even though it is summer break my parents still want me to learn so they sent me to this powerhouse writing class. I really enjoy it and I learned a lot of things that I have not learned before. The class is with Cerritos College but since we are still in quarantine we do it online. The class is 1 hour and 45 minutes from 10:00-11:45. Our class is lead by William Holmes or Mr. Holmes. He is very nice and funny. Usually our schedule is we first go into zoom and he takes attendance. Then we look at context clues and try to find the definition of a highlighted word. The words he gives us are very challenging and not used a lot in conversations. After context clues we look at shades of meaning. So our teacher would give us 2 words that are basically the same and so we have to find the difference and similarities between the 2. They usually are pretty hard to figure out the differences. Usually we would write a writing sample. So our teacher gives us a theme and we have to write 5

Today is that last day of my writing class. I had to write about a comfy spot in my house. Ahhh. You finally get some quiet time to play Roblox and Relax. You have a very comfy spot that you sit in every day. Your mom bought it for you because she does not always want you laying on the bed. You love to read in this spot also. And when you sit on it, it feels like a fluffy cloud. It is a very pretty dark blue color and it is fuzzy and soft. This spot is your fluffy dark blue reading chair.

Today in writing class you are assigned to write about your day as an animal. You're an animal for the day!! You pick your favorite animal and you become one of these amazing predators. You have very sharp teeth and above you, you see many trees and birds. You love to hunt and you do it everyday. You are also a mammal and have cute babies. You are orange and black and you have blue eyes. But sadly there are not that many of these animals left in the world. But anyway you are a powerful fierce TIGER🐯🐅 for the day!!!!!!!

Today in my writing class I had to write about my talent. Talents, talents, talents, what is your talent? My talent is a very relaxing and enjoyable talent. You sometimes might need expensive materials but if you just want to do something simple all you need is a pencil, paper, and an eraser. You can be as creative as you want and you can make up new things that were never made before. I love to sit at my comfy white desk and draw cute characters and landscapes for hours. My talent is art/drawing!!

Today in writing class I was asked to write about my dream. Ahh, it is nice and chilly and you can’t wait to compete. Even though it is a hard dream you think you can achieve it. When your name gets called you are very nervous but also excited. Then, you do your program that you have worked very hard on. When your name gets called for 1st place you are very very happy and very proud of yourself. Your dream is to become a very competitive ice skater and even go to the Olympics!!

Today's topic is about Chinese Tradition. I wrote about the Chinese New Year. “It’s finally the day!!!” you think. At night time you can’t wait but you have to settle down. Then your mom says that she forgot to buy the food for our dinner. “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo” you say. You have been waiting a whole year for this to happen again but now it is ruined. But then your mom says she has an idea and your whole family gets in the car. You end up at your favorite Chinese restaurant and order your favorite food. When you get home you give and receive red envelopes. You then say “Thank you mom, this has been the best Chinese new year ever!!”

Since it is Summer I am not assigned any homework but I still read my books a lot. One book I really enjoy reading is called Finding the edge by US national champion, Karen Chen!! I really enjoyed reading her book and I want to share it with you. This is a part 4. Karen was a good student in school but she would always be late because of training in the morning. When Karen was in 5 th grade she was told that it was her last year in public school. Karen was very nervous but she also wanted to really focus on skating. When Karen was 11 she won the 2010 Central Pacific Regional Championship!! She then realized that she could get really competitive. Winning 2010 Regional’s qualified her to her first major national championship!! She was going to the US Junior Championship and she was competing at the level Juvenile which is the youngest level there. In her program she had a very tricky double axel (which is a jump where you spin around 3 times in the air) Her song to her program was

Today, I am asked to write something about Summer Activities. “Nooooooooo” you say. It is Summer break but you are still in quarantine. You just want to go to the beach but you can’t. But luckily you have the best backyard ever. You can get wet, jump really high, relax, have a BBQ, and play. You can also play Roblox, make crafts, and spend time with your family. What’s in your backyard? Obviously an inflatable pool, a trampoline, a swing chair, and a mini playground. What fun thighs do you have in your house? It’s obvious, a computer, slime supplies, art supplies, and many many notebooks for doodling and writing.

Fiction story BOOM!! You ask yourself “Where am I?” Then you take a look around and you realize you are at your favorite dancers house. You admire her a lot and since you can’t believe your house you are super excited and see if she is home. You then see her sitting in the living room watching some TV. You don’t know what to do so you just try to say Hi because you are just toooooooooooo excited. You also watch her on youtube and Tik tok. After you meet her you become friends together. OMG you still can’t believe you met Lilly K.

Fiction story ‘Ugh” you sigh you did something wrong and now you are grounded. You can only eat, sleep, and do whatever you NEED to do but your mom gives you 3 boring things, glue, borax, and food coloring. You think “What am I going to do with this? But luckily you watched tutorials on how to make something fun using these things. First, you add the glue and some food coloring. then, you add some borax combined with some warm water that you snuck from the bathroom. Well then you mix it and it becomes some fun slime!! You play with it and it keeps you occupied for a while.

Today in writing class, we had to write two different topics, Show me your favorite food and Why I think the world is flat. My teacher picked both of these topics.  Show me your favorite food BAM!! “Wow how did we get here”, my friend said? “We are at my favorite restaurant with my favorite food”, I told her. “Do you think you can guess what it is ?”, I asked. “Of course I can”, She replied.” Ok, it has dough, cheese, and you bake it in an oven”. “Is it pizza?” She asked. “Yes!! it is and since we are already here at pieolgy pizzeria then why not get some”? Why I think the world is flat Everyone has different opinions, if not then the world would be a boring place. A lot of people argue if the world is plat or if the world is round. These are my reasons of why I think the world is flat. First of all if the Earth Orbits then why don’t we feel anything spinning. Also if people live around the bottom of the Earth then why don’t they fall or be upside down. Plus why doesn’t the whole globe

Today was the first day of my Summer Camp writing class. Starting from day,  I will be typing the things that I have written in my writing class.  Today's topic is "If I can have one superpower, what would it be".  There are many different and unique superpowers people dream of but have YOU ever thought about your dream superpower? If I could have 1 superpower it would be to have the ability to go back in time. I would want to back in time to fix mistakes that I have made. I would still learn my lesson but any fights with my family or friends I would think of what I did wrong and not do it. Another good thing is that I can fix some of my bad injuries. And going back in time means learning things in History!

On June 3 rd it was officially the last day of 4 th grade for me. I was very sad that I did not get to go to school to say bye to my friends that are moving or even if they are still staying at my school. I just want this terrible pandemic to go away. This is a part 2. This time I will be telling you about the similar things this year and some fun activities. Even though we had to stay home for many months there are still some similar things. I still go to the same school and I still have the same lunch time. I also still hang out with the same friends that I hung out with in 3 rd grade (The friends are Sofia, Ivy, and Rylee).   We also have the same PE teachers (Coach Sandy, Coach Joc, and Coach Jesse) and they are all nice. This year my class and I have participated in many fun activities. One of my favorite activities was when we went to Rancho Los Cerritos for a field trip.   I really enjoyed Effort club every other Friday as well. In order to qualify to go to Effort

Today was ok. I posted my journal today and I played outside. I really enjoy playing outside until today because I realized that I have SEVEN bug bites on ONE leg and I am going to die of itchiness:(. I even woke up in the middle of the night because my right leg was soooooooooooooooooooooo itchy. Today I also made a bookmark that is customized for me and I really like it. So that is my day today

Today was fun. I played a lot on our Nickelodeon Fit Wii game that our parents bought us and they were very fun. Today I had to type my Journal and Schedule but I did not mind it that much (because I was listening to music). I really enjoyed relaxing with my family today as well because I always love good times with my whole family.

On June 3 rd it was my last day of school and it was very sad. This year was definitely very very different than other years but I got to do things that I usually don’t get to do. I will be telling you the differences and similarities of the year. Also what I really enjoyed in my school year. This year my teachers were Mrs. Silva and Mr. Mangold. They are both very nice if we are good and they teach very well because they explain get into a lot of detail so we get as much information we can. This year we have 32 students and 2 room moms. Our room moms set up fun parties for us and they are very kind and their names are Ms. Dawn and Ms. Toni. They also work for PTA and help our school a lot. Differences This school year there were many differences.   When we were still in school we were an upstairs classroom and it is my first time upstairs. Also my class was switching periods with Mr. Mangold and his class. We also have a bigger class and obviously had a different teacher an

Today was Boringgggggggggggggggggggg in the morning and fun-ish in the evening. For school work I did some of my workbook and it was boring. The only fun thing I did in the morning was make some slime which is always fun but besides that I was just kind of bored. And my slime was pastel pink with some pretty glitter and foam balls. The evening was much better though because I can relax with my family. Our new Wii game came today and it was called Nickelodeon Fit and it is a bunch of different exercises to stay fit.

Today was… ok. Since I was not assigned any work I was very bored but I did do some reading, Zearn, and some science. I really enjoyed Online art class today though. I liked playing outside with my sister because we got to get our energy out and just have fun. So, so far the first day of Summer break is pretty fun.

Today was my last day of school!!!!! I had a meeting with my whole class and we discussed how we are doing and what 5th grade might look like. Today I also did some Zearn and I read my book called Iggies house by Judy Blume. I loved chatting with my friend Chloe and we played Roblox together. So overall today was just very fun and exciting

Today was kind of fun but a little bit boring sometimes. For school work I did some Zearn (a math learning platform) and I read my book Called Deenie by Judy Blume. Every day I also have to type about something different and today I typed about something that I can make. I had online class and it was very fun. But at some parts of the day I was bored and I tried to keep myself entertained but I was just BORED.

Today was … fun-ish. I did a lot of school work and I even went to my school to pick up some items. For school work I read my book called Deenie By Judy Blume and I did some Zearn (A math learning program). I also did some writing about what color I would want to see for the rest of my life. When I went to my school I picked up some of my work and I gave my school library books back. It was pretty fun because I saw 2 of my friends and 1 of my classmates.
