My Wax Museum Speech on Helen Keller

For school, the whole 5 th grade has been assigned to do a speech and oral presentation on someone in history. My person was Helen Keller and my speech had to be less than 3 minutes but over 2 minutes. All my facts came from my essay which I wrote a few weeks ago. In my opinion, my speech is pretty good and I covered all the facts I needed to include. My speech is below and I will be doing my oral presentation for school next week. *Writes book* * Writes Nature is something everyo - Oh my I apologize! I was caught up writing my new book! Well Hello there! You must be wondering what I am doing here on this wonderful day! Before you know that, you must know my story or nothing will make sense! Well, my name is Helen Keller and I was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia Alabama. I was born in a small cabin that my grandfather built many many years ago. My parents are Arthur H. Keller and Kate Adams Keller. I have 2 older half brothers and 2 younger sisters. When I was 19 months old, I wa

Helen Keller biography for school

Recently, for school, I have been assigned an essay on a person in History. Our teacher randomly picked the people and I got very lucky with my person. My person was Helen Keller and I already knew some about her. The rest of the facts I had to do research and got from the internet. Something we had to watch out for was flagged passages which is basically copying sentences/paragraphs from the internet. Below is the essay I have written.       I knew it was soon coming, I felt it since I was born and then it happened. After this happened, I realized “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all” - Helen Keller. Helen Keller was known for being an American author but that is only a piece of what she did. Helen Keller inspired many people and did many things to help our country.       Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama and lived in a small house her grandfather built many years ago. Her parents were Arthur H. Keller and Kate Adams Keller. She had 2 older

Reflecting 2020

Finally that 2020 is over and we are starting a new year, we can hope that things will go back normal soon. I decided to review 2020 and see how bad it really was. I realized that 2020 was not as bad as when we were going through it.  Of course the biggest change in 2020 was covid-19 but in the USA quarantine started in March so we have 3 months of the “regular days”.  In January, I learned about the Coronavirus coming from China and didn’t really care about it. I still played with my friends and have my regular class schedule but that all changed in mid march. My school got closed for 2 weeks and we had no school for that time. I chatted with my friends and still have my out of school classes. When March was over we had started quarantine and online school. My classes started becoming online and it was DEPRESSING. I was usually VERY VERY bored and constantly walking around the house like a dead zombie. Everything was so different and I always went to sleep thinking “Am I dreaming? I

What I did over winter break

Recently, I went on winter break and had a lot of fun spending time with my family and having a nice relaxing time. I went in a short vacation and had a very fun Christmas and new year’s day/eve My short vacation On our short vacation, we went to a place called Palm desert which is close to Palm Springs. We stayed for about 3 nights with my mom and sister but 1 night with my whole family.  The fun activities we did were going hiking on mountains, Swimming in hot spring water, and relaxing with my family. We went to Indian Palm canyons for hiking and hiked 3 miles on about 5 mountains. It was very fun and we went to have pizza for lunch after. Our hotel has natural hot spring water from the Earth and we had the chance to relax in the hot tubs made of the spring water. On 2 of the nights we drove to Palm Springs to talk a walk after we ate dinner. We bought  Pho for dinner and got frozen yogurt for dessert. Overall I really enjoyed this vacation and I am very grateful that we were allo

My 2021 New Year resolutions

2020 has been a very strange year but was a good time to spend time with family if their at your house. At the beginning of 2020 before quarantine I made 3 resolutions to try and complete during 2020. Unfortunately, some of my resolutions could not be completed this year.  My first resolution in 2020 was to pass my Preliminary moves in the field test which I did not complete. The reason I did not complete this test is because there were no testing sessions during 2020 that I could take. Also I had to take a month or so break because almost all the skating rinks near or in my city were closed. When I got back to skating, I practiced my test and am working on making my skills stronger. My next resolution was to study harder in school to get better grades. I think I did achieve this goal because I am now getting better grades on all my test and report cards. I also am learning things above my class to get a little bit of a head start. I am going to keep working on the learning sites my
