My research of the 4 California Regions

Do you know about the regions of California?   There are 4 regions, the Coastal Region, the Mountain Region, the Central Valley Region, and the Desert Region. The Coastal Region is a low sandy plain and it is basically a beach. The Coastal Region is very long and covers the entire western side of California. Did you know that the Coastal Region extends 2034 KM (1264 miles)? That is very long! The region has many islands. The Northern Coastal Region has rocks, Mountains and Narrow shores while the southern coastal region has long beaches and low hills. Also Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego are the coastal cities of California. The Mountain Region is full of all different mountains. It is divided into 3 different ranges, the Sierra Nevada range, the coastal range, and the Cascade range. The Sierra range and the Coastal range collectively have 41 mountains. According to a website called Kidzfeed.com most of the mountains have a cool and moist climate. The highest elevat

Kylie Jean Series Books

I am going to share three Kylie Jean series books with you: Kylie Jean Soccer Queen, Kylie Jean Dancing Queen, and Kylie Jean Cupcake Queen.   I am going to compare the books and find out the similarities and differences between the three books. I like the series of Kylie Jean. I like it because I like how something pops up in the story, but it is also very unexpected. In Kylie Jean Soccer Queen, the surprising thing is that Kylie Jean breaks her arm while playing soccer. In Kylie Jean Cupcake Queen, the surprising thing is that the Dog’s Palace is closing and at a random time Kylie Jean wants to have a yard sale. There is also Kylie Jean Dancing Queen and the surprising thing is that Kylie Jean gets involved into dancing all of a sudden. Kylie Jean Soccer Queen is about Kylie’s mom taking her and Kylie’s cousin Lucy to a soccer game, and Kyle decides to learn soccer while Lucy does not want to learn soccer. Kylie goes to take soccer lessons and she met a new friend named Ann S

Story About the Collapse of Twin Towers

It is the week of 9/11 I am sad. The reason why I feel sad is because 18 years ago on 9/11, the twin towers in New York collapsed. If you don’t know what the twin towers are, they are tall towers that are almost identical. They are located in New York. The fact that they are different is because one tower has a antenna sticking up. The World Trade Center is the real name but the twin tower is the nickname of the World Trade Center. The brief story is that on 9/11 a few groups of people hijacked a few different planes, those people who hijacked the planes did not like America so they planned to hit 4 different important places. One hit the South twin tower, one hit the North twin tower, one hit the pentagon and one crashed into the floor but planned to hit the white house or the capitol of Pennsylvania. This caused a lot of distruction and killed many people.   A video showed that 9/11 now marks the anniversary of one of the worst terrorist attacks on Americans in U.S. his

My Research about pandas

Have you ever seen a giant panda? If you have, you probably know that they are very interesting and cute animal. Most pandas are black and white, but a new study finds two zoo pandas, Lun Lun and Yang Yang were able to distinguish colors from shades of gray. Pandas are a part of the bear family and some of their nicknames are bamboo bears and white bears. Their black and white fur is thick and coarse, and it helps them adopt in cold   temperatures. The scientific name of a panda bear is Ailuropoda Melanoleuca, which means black and white cat foot.  Pandas have very good memory. They can memorize the black patterns around the eyes of other pandas and ultimately recognize them later. Pandas were once widespread in the east and south of China. Now they mainly live in bamboo forests of Shaanxi, Sichun, and GanSu province of China. The MinShan and QinLing mountains host the greatest number of panda in the world. The MiShan mountain hosts about 720 pandas as which account for aro

Ice Skating Camp

On Sunday, August 25, 2019, I went to an ice skating camp at Artesia East West Ice Palace. I learned new things and even met some famous people! We had to get there at 7:30am on that day. We first did stretches and warm-ups, and then we got our skates on and did pumps and edges. After that, we had a break and then continued jumps. After a lot of jumps we did artistry in motion. The last thing we did was learning some jazz in the dance room. When we warm-up, we did things like planks, and front and back kicks. What I learned about stretching is it gets your body warmed up and it prevents injuries. After we got our skates on, we went on the ice. We did edges, crossovers and different types of 3-turns for jumps. We worked in groups. My group worked on Axels and Lutzes. From the jump session, I learned to go on the correct edge for Lutzes. For Axles I learned to jump using my ankle. In Artistry in Motion, we did swizzles while the song Bad Guy was played. We could do anything
