My research of the 4 California Regions

Do you know about the regions of California?  There are 4 regions, the Coastal Region, the Mountain Region, the Central Valley Region, and the Desert Region.

The Coastal Region is a low sandy plain and it is basically a beach. The Coastal Region is very long and covers the entire western side of California. Did you know that the Coastal Region extends 2034 KM (1264 miles)? That is very long! The region has many islands. The Northern Coastal Region has rocks, Mountains and Narrow shores while the southern coastal region has long beaches and low hills. Also Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego are the coastal cities of California.

The Mountain Region is full of all different mountains. It is divided into 3 different ranges, the Sierra Nevada range, the coastal range, and the Cascade range. The Sierra range and the Coastal range collectively have 41 mountains. According to a website called Kidzfeed.com most of the mountains have a cool and moist climate. The highest elevation point in the contiguous US is Mount Whitney and it is located in the Sierra Nevada range. Also, the mountain range covers more than half of California!

The Desert Region is located in the eastern part of Southern California and it mainly consists of three deserts The Mojave desert, the Colorado desert, and the Great Basin desert. The desert Region covers the Imperial County, San Diego County, the Los Angeles County, the Riverside County, the Kern County, and parts of the Inyo, Mono, and the San Bernardino Counties. The Annual rainfall on the desert region is only 4 to 10 inches. Did you know that the hottest weather ever recorded was in the Death Valley?

The Central Valley Region is full of beautiful flowers. It is a very large valley that is about 40 to 60 miles wide and stretches approximately 450 miles. There are a lot of sunflowers and grass. There are also lots of corn stalks.

In my opinion my favorite region is the coastal region because it is pretty.

I wish I could visit these specific places to see if these things are real.
