My Research about pandas

Have you ever seen a giant panda? If you have, you probably know that they are very interesting and cute animal.

Most pandas are black and white, but a new study finds two zoo pandas, Lun Lun and Yang Yang were able to distinguish colors from shades of gray. Pandas are a part of the bear family and some of their nicknames are bamboo bears and white bears. Their black and white fur is thick and coarse, and it helps them adopt in cold  temperatures. The scientific name of a panda bear is Ailuropoda Melanoleuca, which means black and white cat foot.
Pandas have very good memory. They can memorize the black patterns around the eyes of other pandas and ultimately recognize them later.

Pandas were once widespread in the east and south of China. Now they mainly live in bamboo forests of Shaanxi, Sichun, and GanSu province of China. The MinShan and QinLing mountains host the greatest number of panda in the world. The MiShan mountain hosts about 720 pandas as which account for around 45% of total wild pandas. The mountains of QinLing on the other hand host about 250 pandas, which accounts for around 20% of total wild population. For over 100 years, scientists thought panda belonged to the raccoon family, but then they changed it to the bear family. Pandas eat bamboo and 1% of their diet is plants and even meat. Panda have a special thumb that helps them grasp bamboo.

I have never seen a panda, but I want to see them now since I already learned about them.
