Intermediate Moves In The Field Test Narrative Story

Imagine yourself waking up at 5:40 in the morning, when it is still dark outside and not even the birds are up. Well, that’s my current situation, except I'm in the car and heading to the ice rink - at 6 in the morning. I had to take my Intermediate Moves in The Field, the 5th out of 8 tests in the US figure skating track. I felt somewhat prepared, yet I was just so incredibly nervous. The car ride there passed a little too fast for my liking. One second I had just stepped out of the house, and the next, poof!, magically at the ice rink. The specific rink I was testing at was around 25 minutes away, and was the place I tested my previous test at. It’s called the Toyota Performance Sports Center. I know, such a high-ranked sounding name. Speaking of the rink, after driving in the meer darkness for almost half an hour, my mom and I finally turned the corner which led to the entrance of the rink. Still dark outside, I started heading in to start my 30 min practice ice session just

My 2023 School Expierences

As 2023 slowly comes to an end, I would like to reflect on how my school years have been. I was recently let out for break, so I am officially done with school for 2023! This year, I completed my 7th grade year, and am about half way done with my 8th grade year. I attend a middle school in LBUSD, and excitingly will be going to high school next year! The 2nd semester of my 7th grade school year flew by, taking up the first 5 months of the year. During those months, I earned all A grades, joined a junior scholarship federation, attended a school dance, met and made new friends, took my state tests, took my final I-Ready assessments, and many, many more activities.  For all of my middle school years, my goal has been to earn all A+ grades, having over a 97% in each class. My 2nd semester of 7th grade was challenging, yet I worked and tried my hardest on all assignments, which let me achieve my goal and have a 4.0 GPA. Because of my good grades and effort put into everything, my school ga

Christmas/Holiday Party

Just recently, I attended one of my best friend's Christmas/Holiday party. Her name is Jordyn, and I have been to 2 of her other parties prior. This time, we did many holiday activities and games, such as a gingerbread decorating contest, white elephant game, drinking hot chocolate, and watching a Christmas movie. A few of my other friends from school also came, so it was a fun time celebrating the early holidays with them. Jordyn, her cousion, our friend Gabbi, and our friend Saana were the attendees this time, along with Jordyn's brother and some of his friends. The party started at 5, and we started off with her mom's homemade alfredo pasta. It was honestly one of the best I have tried, and I personally loved it. Then, we started our gingerbread house decorating contest, having the boys against the girls. For our house, we made it pink and blue, cute, neat, and overall pleasing to look at. The boys went crazy with theirs, throwing stuff, and just making a huge mess. Ever

CNN 10 Video Review - North Korea Cryptocurrency Invasion

In my history class, every week, we are given the assignment "CNN 10" daily warmups. It consists of writing a short paragraph summary about 1 topic covered on the daily CNN 10 videos. We watch the videos as a class, and then write our own topics that we find most interesting. At the end of the week, on Friday, we are then required to write an extra, longer paragraph, summarizing the most important topic we wrote that week. This paragraph was one of my Friday written responses, about North Korea and their invasion and stealing into the U.S. cryptocurrency.  This week, the story that most connects to our system of government is the story about North Korea and their suspected invasion of U.S. cryptocurrency over the past few years. According to CNN 10, “...an estimated amount of $3 billion over the past 5 years was stolen from U.S. database crypto.” This surprise, recent discovery has government officials busy at work, attempting to fix the targeted sites Un is invading, which i

The Most Important Goal in The Preamble To Form A Successful Country

Recently, in my history class, we have been learning a lot about the constitution of the United States, the Preamble, Bill of Rights, and other documents which helped the founding of our country. The Preamble in the Constitution is one topic our class has decided to look deeper into and highlight more. Though I always hate learning about boring history, this is one lesson I sort of enjoyed, as I could see more how it is connected to our current time period. All students were given the assignment to write what they thought was the most important goal in the Preamble, and why they think that. I wrote about forming a more perfect union in our government to promote a healthy country.   The most important goal stated in the preamble is the attempt to form a more perfect union within our country. The overall goal of the preamble being written was an attempt to help unify and create a stronger, more stable government and country. In simple terms, have the opportunity to attempt and create t
