2023 MVP Summer Day Camp

Summer is finally coming to an end! I cannot say that I am excited, nor can I say that I am not. This summer, I attended Monte Verde summer day camp almost every week, with the exception of the week I went on a vacation. I spent the majority of my 2023 summer building memories, building relationships, and having fun with my friends.  Like I mentioned earlier, this year, just like the pervious 5-6 years, I attended Monte Verde Day Camp. I attended a total of 9 weeks at camp, and each was unique and held its own strengths.  The "weekly daily" schedule had the same general outline each week. Mondays was just a day at camp, for new kids to be introduced to the rules and running of the camp. To my friends and I, Monday was always the most boring and the day that we would skip the most. Tuesdays, we would take busses to McCormick pool, where we spent a few hours swimming and playing around. We would then walk over to the local playground,

My Most Unique Trip to Las Vegas

Recently, over the weekend, I went on a trip to Las Vegas, for the third time this year (no complaints). This time, unlike most, I went with my dad, and just my dad. He went for a business show, and I was just there tagging along. We stayed a total of 2 nights and 3 days (almost).  Before heading to Vegas, my dad and I picked up our rental car for the trip - a Chevy Camaro. It was one of the first sports cars I have been in, and it was super cool and different from the cars I am used to. To start, the size. It is pretty short, and does not have much room for storage and extra passenger seats. That being said, the car would accelerate really fast in a short time span, and had a tiny front viewing window being so short.   Once we picked up our car, I went along with my dad to his work for half the day. While there, I stayed in a little room by myself for the majority of the time, but went around from time to time. For lunch, we bought food from my favorite restaurant nearby - a Mexican

My 13th Birthday!

On the recent past Wednesday, I celebrated my thirteenth birthday! This birthday truly has been the most "double-sided," as I am no longer considered a kid yet have started to grow and mature and become more independent. I still love doing kiddy things almost daily, and that will not stop, but I truly will miss being a small child. That being said, my birthday was a really, really fun day, and I know I say this every year, but I feel like this birthday was special and the best out of all. As I said before, my birthday this year fell on a Wednesday, and I celebrated my day with my summer camp at Universal Studios. It was a good coincidence for me, spending my birthday at a theme park is always something I love doing.

My First Trip to Yosemite

Recently, my family and I took a trip to Yosemite! It was my sister and I's first time there, and I can gladly say we would both be thrilled if we had the chance to go back. This time, unlike most, my dad also went with us, so it was a great time to finally spend some good, quality time together as a complete family.  We spent a total of 4 nights, and 5 days, exploring the beautiful trees, views, and waterfalls of Yosemite. The first day, while we were driving, we stopped to get lunch at In-N-Out and Taco Bell. It took us over 6 hours to arrive at our cabin. The cabin we booked was called River Refuge, and it was in the "redwoods of Yosemite" area.  The cabin was 2 stories tall, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full-use kitchen, a large dining table, living room, and lots of balcony/outdoor space. The "theme" of our cabin was bears, and even had some winter themed decorations from here and there. Our cabin also had many different board games and books to keep us
