On 2-21-21, I tested for my Preliminary MIF test. It was my first time testing for the Preliminary test and I was pretty nervous. My friend also was testing but she was testing for her Pre-Preliminary test. I have been working on this test for a pretty long time and I really wanted to be done with it. On the day of my test, I woke up and got changed into my black dress. We were required to wear a dark colored skating dress and I had one from the previous test I had taken.  When I got to the rink, I met up with my coach and my friend. We did an off ice warm up to warm our bodies up. We then got our skates on and walked around to get used to the feeling. Soon after, we had our 5 minute on ice warm up. My coach taught me a specific warm up we had to do since the real test should take 10 minutes. After our warm up we watched 1 girl take her test and then it was my turn to test with 2 other girls I didn’t know. Almost everyone there were teenagers and I felt tiny. My test only took 7 minute

For school, my social studies teacher told us about a group project we had to do. I really didn’t want to do this because it means I have to get along with other people and they don’t always do work. We had to make slides on one of the original 13 colonies but I used those facts to make a mini essay. We had to work with 2 other people and I was not very happy with the people I got. We got the colony South Carolina and had to answer 5 questions but in a slide format. My 2 partners were Isabella and Marco. First of all, Isabella barley even goes to school and Marco never pays attention so I had to do almost all the work by myself. When was it founded and who founded it? (1 st Slide) From our research, South Carolina was founded on March 26, 1663. Since 2021 has started, I have been doing many things I never thought I would accomplish in just a month. I’ve learned a lot in school and did many things in my 3 classes. I also have had lots of family time and playing with my dad is something we do almost every night now. I am going to be going over school and things related to my education in part 2. In school, I have learned many things and my teachers are really helpful. All my teacher’s have been teaching us new things almost every day and also how to use websites and things people now use a lot such as Google slides or Google docs. We are learning things that my parents don’t even know and it will really help me when I grow up. In math, I am learning dividing numbers into fractions and using tape diagrams. We are also solving word problems that we would see in real world situations. My math teacher Ms. Bomgaars has us do a quiz every week to see how much we have been paying attention and how much we know. She is my homeroom

  2021 feels like it just started but it has already been 1 month. In the month I have done many things that I never expected to complete in just a month. I am going to be telling you what I have done and accomplished so far in the month. I will be going over all 3 of my classes and just what has happened so far in part 1. Ice skating class In my ice skating, I have recently got new skates and am working to land my axel. I am really close to landing it because my new skates have more support for the landing. I have not tried an axel in my new skates yet so I am looking forward to see if I can land it next timer. For my spins, I am learning harder spins such as a haircutter spin and combination spins. I will also be testing my Preliminary Moves in the field test near the end of February. My moves are getting stronger the more I work on them and I am really excited to test.
