Random Weekly Daily Thoughts

Being the strange teenager in our society today, I encounter strange daily thoughts based on my surroundings and just what is happening around me. For one week, I decided to record some of the strange questions I came up with and do a little research to answer my questions.  Monday Why does it rain? This question might sound very dumb, but being a super cold and wet day and not being taught weather patterns in science, this is something that came to my mind randomly throughout the day. Water droplets, more commonly called raindrops fall from the sky when clouds become filled with the water, and the cloud becomes to heavy. The cloud becomes too heavy to hold all the liquid, which results in it dropping in small sections, rain! Tuesday How large is the Milky Way? In my history class, everyday, we do warmups, where we watch the daily video of CNN 10, and write about one story told. Today, one of the stories explained NASA discovering a star-shaped galaxy, and how most galaxies are the sh

Diary Of Anne Frank - Character "Letter" to Mr. Dussel

For my language arts class, we recently read a few scenes from the script of the play "The Diary of Anne Frank," and were told to write a "letter" to one of the characters regarding choices they made during the play. I chose to write to Mr Dussel, not because he is my favorite character, but because he was one of my least favorites and angered me.  Dear Mr. Dussel, You have acted on a few questionable choices hiding in the annex. I believe there is good in your personality, yet you never showed much of it. I am most confused on how you are a Jew, was raised by Jewish, yet do not know any traditions of Hanukkah! When you asked if it was similar to “our St. Nicholas’s Day?” (Goodrich and Hackett 140). Were you thinking?! You should know the basic idea, yet you don’t, shame on you. As I said earlier, you never show your good side, deciding to always be a cold, unhappy person. I doubt this is the true you, where is all your good? When you first met Anne, you claimed, “

Historical Events In Literature

When historical events happen, it is nearly of human nature for us to learn from mistakes and apply corrections to prevent any similar sort from repeating. With that being said, some events have a larger impact on us than others. Those are sometimes then transformed into pieces of literature and art, as a reminder in the far future the outcome of certain acts are not kind. With these pieces of writing, most are focused on a singular person/family and their experiences throughout a period of time, yet all help us remember and understand the suffering and pain they went through to conquer their time period. Whether a magazine, comic book, biography, diary, all writings of literature based on events of history impact all societies, reminding us of what led up to large events, and all in all can help us prevent anything similar from happening again. For reference, a few pieces include, The Diary of Anne Frank , written based on the Holocaust and Nazi situation, Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry

My 2024 New Years Resolutions

With 2023 recently passing, it is now time to welcome the new year of 2024! Personally, I am very excited for a fresh, new start, and am looking forward to hopefully a great year. Taking what I learned last year, I plan to leave all the bad possible in 2023, and work on myself and my well-being going into another year. I also have come up with 5 new years resolutions for myself, to set some goals to accomplish as the year passes. My first goal consists of multiple "mini-goals," and are all about my sport, figure skating. As I always have in mind, I would like to continue improving all my skills, and develop and learn new, more advanced ones. This year specifically, I would like to pass my Novice Moves in The Field test, no matter how many times I might fail. As I learned previously, I would like to "get back up" and work harder to pass. I would also like to have learned the Junior Moves patterns, and be somewhat familiar with them. Also for ice skating, I would lik
