One of The Most Important Inventions of The 21st Ceuntry - The Smartphone

One of the most significant inventions of the 21st century is the smart/cellphone. Not only have phones made communicating with others easier, but many new forms of communication have also been discovered. For example, many "socialization" websites (such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) have been created as an attempt to connect more people from different parts of the world. I do think that all of these social media sites work[ed], looking at the amount of user downloads and accounts created. Of course with such freedom about socializing, many things could go wrong, and as Uncle Ben says, "With great power comes great responsibility," which truly reflects the invention of phones. Most people even count on their mobile phones to be there with then 24/7, and be accessible whenever needed. I do slightly connect with this, as communicating with my parents, friends, and even teachers would be extremely difficult if not face to face. With the new invention of phones, a message that would usually take weeks to send in the mail, takes less than a second to send online. Not to forget mentioning, unlike the laptop and tablet, the phone is easily portable and can be taken nearly everywhere without getting damaged. At this point in history, the phone has replaced cameras, mail, and even face-to-face communicating. All in all, the smartphone has had a huge, huge impact on our society, and makes life for us extremely easier than a century ago.
