My trip to Arizona

 From 7-11-21 through 7-17-21, I went on an AMAZING vacation to Arizona. My family and I had so much fun exploring canyons, lakes, and more. We did a lot of walking and also relaxing of course. We also had a few fun stops on the way which made it more fun and exciting. 

Since it takes about 8ish hours to drive to our city, (Page, Arizona), We stopped by Las Vegas and stayed in one of the hotels for one night. We stayed in a Hilton hotel which was more than 30 floors high. We just stayed there for a night and went back on the road to head to Arizona. We also drove into Utah on the way which was interesting because all the time zone stuff was confusing. Utah was one of the hottest places I have ever been in and I don't know how people there can handle that.

 When we arrived in Page, we settled into our hotel and went to visit the famous Horseshoe Bend. It had an amazing view and actually was shaped like a horseshoe. We didn't do much that night after that since we were pretty excited for the next day.

The next day, we didn't know what to do at first but then found some really cool places to visit such as lower antelope canyon and a water dam. We first went to the water dam where we could walk over a bridge to see the whole thing. It was a little really high and scary but I got some good pictures and had a fun time being nervous. After that, we went to make reservations to get a tour of the lower antelope canyon slots. I really liked how the water made the canyon smooth and in very weird shapes. After hiking down in the canyon, we just had dinner and went to bed since we were all pretty tired.

 The third day was one of the more fun days out of all of them. We went to a lake and rented a small boat for the day. We had so much fun swimming in the lake and also seeing all the mountains surrounding the water. We spent a whole few hours out on water and I had so much fun. We switched hotels when we finished boating and the hotel was so tiny that I got squished many times but it had a very nice view of the lake. We had really yummy food for dinner and then went for a little walk to the lake. 

Today was one of the strangest days since we went to a giant cathedral canyon and our first tour guide was very new and got lost many times. We then headed back toward the rental place and the owner of the place took us to visit the canyon since he also needed to show the first tour guide the correct location. It turns out he was at the right place but didn't trust himself that it was the right place. We then saw the big canyon and went to have some lunch. We didn't do much the rest of the day besides go out and get dinner and swim in the pool but it was a really fun day overall. 

Sadly, the next day we started to head back to Vegas for another night. On the way, we stopped by a mushroom toad hiking place where we saw rocks stacked on top of each other and they looked like mushrooms. We hiked there a little and then went back on the road to Vegas. We stayed at the Paris Paris hotel which has a very unique lobby since it resembles a street in Paris. After eating dinner, we went for a walk on the strip. My sister and I played in the arcade which was located in the Excalibur hotel. We had a lot of fun playing the games there and got some candy since we did not get that many tickets. We then headed back to our hotel and went to bed since it was already almost midnight.

The next morning, we just woke up and visited many hotels trying to find a buffet to eat for brunch. We stopped by Bellagio and looked at the flower garden. We finally decided to eat at South Point and the food was pretty good. We then started to drive away from Vegas and back home. Finally coming home, I was sad to leave Vegas and Arizona but happy to be back home with my bed and things. 

In my opinion, this vacation was one of the best since, 1. I went with my whole family 2. Because we went to so many places I have never been to before and 3. Because I could see what different nature looks like in different parts of the world. It is a vacation that will stay with me forever since it was also the first time I have been to Arizona. Overall, one of my favorite vacation I have went on because of litterly. everything.
