My ice skating holiday show

 On 12-19-20, I had an ice skating holiday show. I finally went back to my old rink and saw some of my friends. 2 of my friends and I had a program we have been working on and performed it. It was really fun and still got to go even through quarantine. 

My two friends Lokilani, Kaitlin, and I did a cute performance to the song “sparkle jolly twinkle jingly” and we were supposed to be elves. We have been practicing it at a different ice rink but were invited to join East West’s holiday show. 

The choreography was supposed to be a simple and fun program for the holidays. In some and most of the parts, I was the lead because I picked up the choreography faster than my friends. We had 2 spins and 2 jumps in the program. We had a Waltz jump and a toe loop jump. We had a back scratch spin and a pancake to flamingo spin. My favorite part was at the end of our program we had a bow with our hands going in a loop de loop and it looked so cute.

The costume was very cute and we looked just like little elves. We had red and green tights, a red leotard, a cute sparkly skirt, red gloves, a green glittery face mask, and a red and green Santa hat. Since the masks were a little big, our nose looked bigger just like an elf. 

When I was watching other performances my favorite skaters were the California gold Synchronized skating team. They performed 3 performances and the last one was the best in my opinion because of how cool the alignment looked when they skated. 

In my opinion, this year’s skating show was not as big as usual but I still had very fun doing my program with my friends. I hope that next year I am able to be in a big group as usual.
