My 2019 Cruise Trip


I went on an amazing four day cruise trip for my summer break vacation. I had so much fun doing all the activities there. It was my third time cruising.

I went on the Carnival Inspiration cruise with my mom and my little sister. The two places we got off the cruise were Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. We departed from Long Beach Cruise terminal and left at 6:30pm on Monday, July 1st. The cruise was on July 1st, 2019 to July 4th, 2019
The first excursion we went on was Catalina Island. It was my first time going to Catalina and it was so beautiful. My mom bought me some seashells as a souvenir. We also got to go on an underwater sea adventure and we saw so many fishes. After the adventure, we had fish and chips and clam chowder soup for lunch. We also had homemade ice cream for dessert. It was very yummy.

The next excursion we went on was Ensenada, Mexico, we took an hour bus ride to get to La Bufadora or the Ensenada Blowhole. I saw the blowhole was just the rocks creating a narrow path which makes the water shoot up in the air. We did some shopping, and I got a bracelet with my name on it and two maracas. We bought a bag of churros and two corns for snacks, but they were not good at all. The churros were too greasy and the corns were way too stiff.

When we drove back to the cruise ship, we stopped by a convention center that was really pretty. Our tour guide said that the convention center used to be a casino and it had Mexico map.
On the Fun on the Sea day, we did a lot of fun activities on the cruise and did some shopping. There were so many parties on the cruise. We went to one dance party to celebrate the sounds of the 1980s. There were a lot of shows also, but the one I really enjoyed was the Hasbro the game show which had giant life size Hasbro games, such as Yahtzee. On the cruise, I also went to Camp Ocean and we did arts and crafts, and played games to win prizes, such as a pen, and a key chain. When we left on the last day, they gave us each a chocolate chip cookie.

We had a lot of food on the cruise. We went to a restaurant called American Table for dinner. For the other meals, we went to the buffet which had omelets for breakfast, pizza for lunch and dinner.

This cruise was an amazing experience and it was also fun to go on the cruise. Even though the cruise was only 4 days it felt like it was 7 days because it had many fun activities that felt long but was only a short time.

I did a interesting research about Michelle Kwan. Michelle Kwan was born 1980 in Torrance, California. Her ethic is Chinese and her parents were from Hong Kong. Michelle Kwan started skating at the age of 5 and went to Ice Castle Training Center in Lake Arrowhead in California. She was 18 years old when she went to the Olympics games. Michelle Kwan liked to skate a lot. I think Michelle Kwan has good performance because she is calm and relaxed. I think Kwan is a good ice skater because she made it all the way to the Olympics games. I think i am a good ice skater because i am in Basic 6. I would like to learn how to ice skate like Kwan. I learned some interesting facts about Michelle Kwan and I would like to accomplish something like her.

Chinese New Year

I am going to write about Chinese New Year because my parents come from China and Chinese new year is February 16th. Here are some facts I learned about Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is also called Lunar New Year. Chinese New Year was created to welcome spring but Chinese New Year does not happen on the same day every year because not all the time the groundhog sees his shadow. There are 12 symbols for the Chinese zodiac. The 12 symbols are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, rooster, Dog and Pig. The year of 2018 is the year of the Dog. I was born in 2010 and I am a Tiger and my sister was born in 2014 and she is a Horse. Chinese New Year is very important because we welcome a new symbol. A Chinese New Year tradition is putting out fireworks and putting up lanterns. Chinese New Year lasts for about 15 days. This is what me and my family do on Chinese New Year this year.
