My School Project for Earth Day

In April I had to turn in a project to my teacher and I made a beautiful castle. I worked hard to build it. This is all the steps and details you should know about my project.

Like I said earlier the project I made was a beautiful castle but I did not tell you that I painted the front and back of my castle one of my favorite colors which is rainbow and painted the sides pink and purple stripes. I mostly made the castle but my mom helped me a little bit with some parts. I used many materials to construct my castle and these are some of the products I used toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, paint, cardboard box, shoe box, green foam board, 4 paper bags, and a paper box from a craft I did. As you may notice most of the materials I said were recyclable because my teacher said for our projects we had to use recycled materials to kind of celebrate Earth Day.

It did not take me that long to build my castle but it was pretty complicated to make because I did not really plan to make my castle but it turned out better than I thought it would. I would say it took me about one and a half weeks to build and paint it. I chose to build a castle because I found it on the internet and thought it was a good idea to build a castle.

My castle had trees in the front and had a drawbridge with pink gems around it. I used the paper bags to make cones to put on top of the toilet and paper towel rolls to look like towers in front and behind of the castle. I made in windows on the sides of the castle in the shape of a heart and half oval.

This is how I made my project. First, I painted the paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, a little bit of the shoe box, and the cardboard box. Next I taped the painted cardboard box onto the green foam board and added a decoration to it and did the same thing to the shoe box but I taped it on top of the cardboard box. After that, I taped the toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls next to the boxes and taped trees in front of the toilet paper rolls. Last I assembled the drawbridge, put gems, and typed an index card.

In my opinion my castle is really pretty and colorful. It kind of reminds me of unicorns and rainbows because they are colorful and pretty as well.

I wish I could have had more time to finish my castle because I did nothing in the inside so it is just brown and plain.

Following is the picture of my project.
