Butterflies


I am going to write about butterflies because they are interesting to learn about. Read down below to find and read some fun butterfly facts.

The first stage in a butterfly's life cycle is an egg. The second stage is a caterpillar or a larva.  The third stage is a chrysalis or a pupa.  The fourth and last stage is a adult butterfly. 

There are many different types of butterfly's some of them are the milkweed, monarch butterfly and the queen butterfly. Butterflies eat nectar from flowers and they drink with their feet. Butterflies camouflage because predators are scare of the bright colors on their wings.

In my opinion, monarch butterflies are my favorite butterflies because they have pretty colors. Butterflies are my favorite bugs because they are cute and cool.

As you can see why I think butterflies are interesting things to learn about. I shared my favorite butterflies. Now I would like to hear yours. Also, I say do not kill or hurt animals, humans, and bugs.

I did a interesting research about Michelle Kwan. Michelle Kwan was born 1980 in Torrance, California. Her ethic is Chinese and her parents were from Hong Kong. Michelle Kwan started skating at the age of 5 and went to Ice Castle Training Center in Lake Arrowhead in California. She was 18 years old when she went to the Olympics games. Michelle Kwan liked to skate a lot. I think Michelle Kwan has good performance because she is calm and relaxed. Chinese New Year

I am going to write about Chinese New Year because my parents come from China and Chinese new year is February 16th. Here are some facts I learned about Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is also called Lunar New Year. Chinese New Year was created to welcome spring but Chinese New Year does not happen on the same day every year because not all the time the groundhog sees his shadow. There are 12 symbols for the Chinese zodiac. The 12 symbols are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, rooster, Dog and Pig. The year of 2018 is the year of the Dog. I was born in 2010 and I am a Tiger and my sister was born in 2014 and she is a Horse. Chinese New Year is very important because we welcome a new symbol. A Chinese New Year tradition is putting out fireworks and putting up lanterns. Chinese New Year lasts for about 15 days. This is what me and my family do on Chinese New Year this year.
