Trip to Los Angeles Zoo

I went to the Los Angeles Zoo on a field trip. In my opinion the zoo is the best zoo I ever visited and let me tell you my trip.

I saw Koalas, Giraffes, Lions, Monkeys, Elephants, Zebra, Komodo dragon and Alligators. Here are some facts about some animals.

  • Komodo dragons are found in Indonesia on the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang and Padar. Giraffes live in Africa. 
  • Giraffes can stand up to 20 feet tall. 
  • There are more than 260 different species of monkeys. Some monkeys are apes, stem nose and spider monkey. 
I also saw a kangaroo, snakes, turtles, frogs and tiger.

We ate lunch by the giraffes. My trip was really fun because we got to see cool animals. My partner was Sofia. Next time we go on a field trip I want my partner to be Ella.

As you can see why I think the LA zoo is the best zoo !

I did a interesting research about Michelle Kwan. Michelle Kwan was born 1980 in Torrance, California. Her ethic is Chinese and her parents were from Hong Kong. Michelle Kwan started skating at the age of 5 and went to Ice Castle Training Center in Lake Arrowhead in California. She was 18 years old when she went to the Olympics games. Michelle Kwan liked to skate a lot. I think Michelle Kwan has good performance because she is calm and relaxed. Chinese New Year

I am going to write about Chinese New Year because my parents come from China and Chinese new year is February 16th. Here are some facts I learned about Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is also called Lunar New Year. Chinese New Year was created to welcome spring but Chinese New Year does not happen on the same day every year because not all the time the groundhog sees his shadow. There are 12 symbols for the Chinese zodiac. The 12 symbols are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, rooster, Dog and Pig. The year of 2018 is the year of the Dog. I was born in 2010 and I am a Tiger and my sister was born in 2014 and she is a Horse. Chinese New Year is very important because we welcome a new symbol. A Chinese New Year tradition is putting out fireworks and putting up lanterns. Chinese New Year lasts for about 15 days. This is what me and my family do on Chinese New Year this year.
