Knott's Berry Farm Trip - 6/28/17

On Wednesday I went to Knott’s Berry Farm. We got there by taking a school bus. I went to Knott’s Berry Farm with my summer camp. My counselor’s name is Carly. Knott’s Berry Farm is a theme park. There is also two parks together. One is Soak City and the other is Knott’s Berry Farm. There two parks are also connected to each other. At Knott’s Berry Farm there are a lot of stores, a whole lot of rides and a few restaurants.

The rides that I went on are kind of scary, train pacific scrambler, the log ride, Jaguar, noisy river, pony express, a mini roller coaster and huff and puff.  My favorite rides are pacific scrambler, noisy river, the leg ride and jaguar. I felt happy on all the rides that I like.


I bought a pink cup where you can get a free refill of I CEE for free. I really liked the rides I went on. I really like my field trip to Knott’s Berry Farm.

I did a interesting research about Michelle Kwan. Michelle Kwan was born 1980 in Torrance, California. Her ethic is Chinese and her parents were from Hong Kong. Michelle Kwan started skating at the age of 5 and went to Ice Castle Training Center in Lake Arrowhead in California. She was 18 years old when she went to the Olympics games. Michelle Kwan liked to skate a lot. I think Michelle Kwan has good performance because she is calm and relaxed. I think Kwan is a good ice skater because she made it all the way to the Olympics games. I think i am a good ice skater because i am in Basic 6. I would like to learn how to ice skate like Kwan. I learned some interesting facts about Michelle Kwan and I would like to accomplish something like her.

Chinese New Year

I am going to write about Chinese New Year because my parents come from China and Chinese new year is February 16th. Here are some facts I learned about Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is also called Lunar New Year. Chinese New Year was created to welcome spring but Chinese New Year does not happen on the same day every year because not all the time the groundhog sees his shadow. There are 12 symbols for the Chinese zodiac. The 12 symbols are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, rooster, Dog and Pig. The year of 2018 is the year of the Dog. I was born in 2010 and I am a Tiger and my sister was born in 2014 and she is a Horse. Chinese New Year is very important because we welcome a new symbol. A Chinese New Year tradition is putting out fireworks and putting up lanterns. Chinese New Year lasts for about 15 days. This is what me and my family do on Chinese New Year this year.
