My Amazing first Trimester as a Fourth Grader

My first school trimester just ended and it was amazing. It was fun and educational. I am going to tell you about my first trimester. My homeroom teacher is Mrs. Silva and my 2 nd period teacher is Mr. Mangold. I think they are good teachers. On Wednesday we switch at 10:30 because we get out of school early. On regular days we switch at 11:40. In Mrs. Silva’s class she teaches us language arts, Social Studies, and writing. In Mr. Mangold’s class he teaches us math, science, and health. In Mrs. Silva’s class we learned about the California regions and did a writing project and a picture of the regions with an explanation. We are now learning about the first people living in California and how they lived. We are also learning how to type correctly and also learning new vocabulary and spelling words. Every week we get a spelling and grammar packet and do it throughout the week.   My report card is pretty good in my opinion. I got lot of 3s, 4s, Os and Ss. My best skill is r

Animals and their Habitats

Have you ever wondered about how animals survive in their Habitat? I have finally learned how animals survive in Antarctia. I am going to tell you about some animals and their habitat.             To begin with, I am going to tell you about the icefish and the penguin. Penguins have thick layers of fat of blubber to help them stay warm, but sometimes that is not even enough. Since that is not enough, penguins cuddle up together as close as they can to share body heat. It is so cold in the south and north pole that sometimes there are still chunks of ice during Summertime! So the icefish has a special substance in their blood that keeps the ice from forming in their bodies.             Secondly, I am going to tell you about some desert animals. Many desert animals come out only at night, when it is cool. Snakes, Lizards, Mice, and Squirrels live in burrows. During the day, they stay underground and out of the sun. Also in the hot Sonoran Desert of Arizona, an owl lives a nest

My Amazing Halloween

My 2019 Halloween was a blast and I had a lot of fun. I am going to tell you what amazing things I did during Halloween. For Halloween this year, I was an ice skater with my skates on. I went with my sister, my friends, Chloe, Ivy, Charlote, and Ivy’s half sister Tessa. Chloe was from Harry Potter. Ivy was Ray from Star Wars. Charlote was Elsa and my sister was an unicorn girl. I went trick or treating with my friends because we all live in the same neighborhood. We got lots of candies! I and Chloe passed out candies as well. Sadly not many people came by our house for candies because we were the only house giving out candies on our street and we live in the middle of the block. This year I also went trunk or treating at my school with my friends, Sofia, Ryle and Julie. We had a fun time truck or treating. Now I am going to tell you some facts about Halloween. Did you know that Halloween is just a nickname for all Hallow’s Eve or the night before All Saints Day? According

Rancho Los Cerritos Field Trip and Facts

Have you ever imagined how life was back in the day at Rancho Los Cerritos? It was pretty interesting and different from now. I am going to tell you what I learned on my field trip to Ranch Los Cerritos. I had a lot of fun of my amazing field trip. I am going to tell you all about my field trip. When I got to Rancho Los Cerritos our tour guide told us that Rancho Los Cerritos is also known as the “Ranch of the little hills”. When Mrs. Bixby (a person that owns the ranch) came out she told us that we would clap our hands and pretend to go back in time. She told us that we were going to split into groups and go to different stations and switch.  The first station I went to was Mrs. Newmark’s station. We learned about how life was way back in history like about the Tongva VS how life is in the late 1900 going into the 2000. We also looked at cool photographs and got to see the thing they used to grid corn. The next station I went to was Mr. Bixby’s station (I think) well anyw
